Minute (and 6 blocks) Clinic

The worst healthcare development in recent years is right here in Manhattan.

These clinics that have popped up every 5 or 6 blocks.

Before I go any further. I feel fine. This thought crossed my mind during a time of boredom, while nursing a cold.

It used to be that if you needed to go to a doc, you’d bundle up, maybe with some help, shivering with fever and wait miserably on the corner for a cab, plop into it, doze off, then stumble inside the hospital/clinic/doctor’s office or whatever upon arrival.

Now it’s never more than 5 or 6 blocks to an urgent care clinic. Too close for a cab. Too far for a shambling, fevered shuffle. Take a taxi the old way or suffer a 3 block walk?

What comic book villain plotted this disaster?
