Only time I’m going to open this can of worms:
Scenario –
I’m voting for Hillary because I think she’ll do a good job and believe she has the requisite knowledge and skills to run the executive branch of government.
Not voting for Donald Trump because I don’t think he’ll do a good job, lacks the basic knowledge I expect of a president and I can’t identify any discernible skills he possesses relevant to running the executive branch.
I promise: You are not more informed than I am.
Not interested in baloney about breaking the government organizational email policy.
Not interested in arguments as to who is more evil than the other.
Not interested in personality quirks or likability.
If you rage about media bias while quoting information you received directly from a campaign or its proxies, I cannot hear you.
Don’t believe in the litany of accusations surrounding decisions any public official has to make, some of which work out, some of which don’t. Similarly, I don’t accept any arguments about how a businessperson has operated as I believe a public sector leader has a very different job than an entrepreneur does. I also believe most entrepreneurs tread the edge or cut any corner they can.
Don’t believe there are religious reasons for choosing either candidate.
Don’t believe either candidate belongs in jail.
Supreme Court is not a legitimate argument, as no one has convincingly made that one other than to say a candidate’s name and ‘Supreme Court’ and ‘for a generation’ with little input as to the specific deleterious consequences.
Don’t believe either candidate will be successful in gaining the votes needed to amend the constitution or the support to ratify an amendment via popular vote.
Feel free to attack me, but be clear that does not do anything productive.
I am very open to changing my mind if persuaded and don’t see elections as a street fight with friends and neighbors. Historically, I’m mostly Republican.
Remember, I don’t post anything here that’s ACTUALLY personal, other than the occasional day-to-day story.
