One-man protest at 53rd and Third. Grizzled man in a bright orange “Builders Union. Build it Right” t-shirt.
Blows a whistle and in a “hey you kids get off my lawn” yell repeats a short protest I don’t understand.
Two guys in front of me.
Guy 1: “What did he say?”
Guy 2: “I have no idea”
Guy 1: (walks over to the protester) “Hi. What are you protesting?”
Protester: (blows the whistle extra loud and shouts his slogan right in the guy’s face)
Guy 1: (turns and shrugs at Guy 2) “ok good luck, man”
(Rejoins Guy 2)
Guy 2: “what’d he say?”
Guy 1: “No idea”
